A total of 38 people were killed in an unknown armed attack on three civilian vehicles in the Kurram district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Police said the attackers used automatic weapons to target the vehicles as they were traveling from the city of Parachinar to the provincial capital of Peshawar.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities said security forces had been deployed to the area and a search warrant had been issued for the attackers.
