A 78-year-old woman in Adana, Türkiye had her home turned into a garbage dump due to her struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, leading to complaints from neighbors. Two trucks of garbage were discovered in her residence after neighbors reported the issue to authorities. The municipality organized a cleanup of her house.
The woman, who had lost her husband two decades ago and had previously been financially well-off. She expressed her confusion about the situation, not remembering how it deteriorated to this point. Neighbors shared their sympathy, acknowledging that her once-comfortable life had been severely impacted by Alzheimer’s, leaving her to fend for herself.
