A driver who was pulled over by police hit one of the officers, who later clung onto the car’s hood, and attempted to escape in Izmir, Türkiye, on Wednesday evening. After continuing for about 3 kilometers with the police officer on the hood, the driver was stopped and detained by other police vehicles blocking his way. He was then arrested after being brought to court.
A full moon rising over Lake Van in the Ahlat district of Türkiye’s Bitlis province created a breathtaking spectacle as it reflected off the calm waters. Locals and visitors gathered along the lakeshore to witness and photograph the scene, with many describing it as an unforgettable moment.
Nature photographer Şahin Şerefoğlu, who captured the moonrise at Ahlat Pier, said, “We’re in one of the most beautiful places to watch the full moon. We invite all nature lovers to experience this view.”
Travelers from other regions, including Şanlıurfa, also came to enjoy the view, turning the lakeside into a popular spot for moon gazing and photography.
