Security sources reported that Baghdad International Airport in Iraq was targeted by a series of attacks in the early morning hours. The surrounding area and a diplomatic support base within the facility were struck first by an unmanned aerial vehicle and subsequently by rockets. Following the strikes, thick smoke was seen rising from the airport, and an Iraqi Air Force aircraft was reportedly hit. Security forces have since launched search operations to determine the exact launch point, which is suspected to be the Rusafa area east of the capital.
