A forest fire in Çankırı’s Ilgaz district, which broke out near Yukarıdere village, was brought under control after 17 hours of intense efforts. The blaze damaged 44.17 hectares of forest, leaving a large area charred and covered in ash, as captured by drone footage. Authorities evacuated 125 people from four threatened villages. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
