A drone strike hit the Sersenk Oil Field in the Duhok province of Iraq’s Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) on Monday morning. The KRG Ministry of Natural Resources confirmed that the attack, carried out by an explosive-laden UAV, caused no casualties.
The ministry also condemned the attack, noting it followed two similar drone strikes on the Hurmale Oil Field in Erbil the previous night. Authorities called the attacks a deliberate attempt to harm the KRG’s economic infrastructure.
