At least two unmanned aerial vehicles targeted the US Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, causing a limited fire and minor material damage, the Saudi Ministry of Defense said. Explosions were reported in different parts of the capital following the incident.
The US Embassy in Riyadh urged American citizens in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dhahran to seek shelter in safe areas and avoid non-essential travel, particularly near military facilities. Officials said the situation is being closely monitored.
