The dust cloud coming from Syria reached Türkiye’s Şanlıurfa province. Visibility dropped to 20 meters in some districts. Authorities warned children, the elderly, and citizens suffering from chronic diseases to be careful as they may experience respiratory distress.

The natural event occurs in the city several times a year and affects business as people do not leave their homes, said a shopkeeper.
