Istanbul police seized €3.6 million in counterfeit Euros during raids in the Fatih and Zeytinburnu districts. Acting on intelligence about fake currency production, police uncovered 3,000 counterfeit 100-Euro banknotes without watermarks, 1,500 with watermarks, printing machines, Euro molds, and other forgery tools.
One suspect was detained and is currently under police interrogation. Authorities continue investigating the production and distribution network of the counterfeit money.
