Early Voting Begins in 3 US States

Early voting has begun in the states of Minnesota, Virginia and South Dakota for the US presidential election to be held on November 5. Thousands of voters who were not available on Election Day or wanted to avoid waiting in long queues went to the polls to cast their votes.

Early voting will begin in Illinois on September 26, in Montana and Nebraska on October 7, in Indiana and Wyoming on October 8, in Arizona on October 9, in Georgia on October 15 and in Iowa on October 16.

According to a Pew Research Center survey, only 37 percent of Republicans say voters should have the option to vote early since the 2020 elections, while Democrats support the practice at 82 percent.
