A 6.6 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Doti region in western Nepal, according to a statement by Nepal’s National Seismological Center (NSC). Rescue teams were dispatched to the area as dozens of houses were destroyed. The police stated that 6 people, including 4 children, lost their lives and 5 people were injured. Nepal army spokesman Narayan Silwal said at least two people were missing.
