Rescue efforts for saving a 10-year-old boy who fell into a 35-meter-deep and 25-meter-wide concrete column placed under ground in Vietnam’s Dong Thap province have been continuing for 2 days. Authorities stated that the child, who was at the construction site to collect metal, could not be reached and no response from him was received so far.
Struggling to enter the column due to its narrowness, authorities stated that they tried removing the column from the ground and have been regularly pumping oxygen to prevent the child from suffocating.
