An egg was thrown at the far-right Marine Le Pen, who came to the French city of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux to support the National Rally Party (RN) candidate Guillaume Florquin in the elections to be held in the Nord region of France. As Le Pen bent down, her bodyguards immediately stepped in.

“I was with her. Everything is fine, not a scratch, not a stain. The egg didn’t hit her, it hit her bodyguard’s hand,” Party spokesman Sebastien Chenu said. Chenu stated that Le Pen continued her program after the attack. A shopkeeper at the scene said that Le Pen was insulted loudly during the attack.
