In ongoing hearings at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, Egyptian legal advisor Jasmine Moussa emphasized the urgency of addressing the prolonged occupation of Palestine. Moussa stated that history would judge nations based on their reactions to the issue. Advocating for a comprehensive solution, she called for the establishment of a Palestinian state on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. Moussa condemned ongoing violations of international law, describing the broader policy as unlawfully taking Palestinian lands. Expressing concern over states resisting the court’s legal opinion, she questioned their commitment to international justice and the rule of law. Moussa underlined the crucial role of the court in the absence of viable prospects for a peaceful resolution.
