Eight Injured in Spain’s San Fermin Bull Run

Eight people were injured during the second day of the annual San Fermin festival in Pamplona, Spain, after a bull charged into participants during the traditional bull run.

Each morning of the festival, thousands run 850 meters alongside bulls released into the streets, ending at the bullfighting arena. The event lasts around three minutes and is followed by bullfights and religious celebrations.

Since 1911, 16 people have died in the bull runs, with the last fatality recorded in 2009.
