A total of 8 people died in 2 simultaneous armed attacks by unidentified gunmen in the Kalata region and the city of Nushki in the Balochistan province of Pakistan.
Four of the deaths were workers in the Kalata region, while the rest were police officers whose patrol vehicle was opened fire in Nushki, said authorities.
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari stated that targeting innocent workers and civilians was a “disgusting” and “reprehensible” act and that effective measures must be taken against the terrorists.
