eight killed in indian demonstration of farmers

In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, 8 people were killed in the demonstration organized by the farmers due to the visit of Interior Minister Ajay Mishra and Deputy Prime Minister Keshav Maurya. The farmers’ unions claimed that a vehicle in Minister Mishra’s convoy ran over the farmers, causing them to die. The unions have called on all farmer organizations in India to meet tomorrow at noon in front of the buildings of Magistrates in all districts. Groups of farmers from Punjab and Haryana set out for the state of Uttar Pradesh.
