At least 8 people were killed and 14 others were injured after a student shot randomly at the University of Perm in Russia on Monday. Many students tried to escape in horror by jumping from the windows of the university building. It was announced that the gunman was an 18-year-old named Timur Bekmansurov. He posted a camouflaged photo on his social media account before the incident, and stated that his aim was to attack his old school, but then he changed his mind. He said that his action was not a terrorist attack and that he was not affiliated with any radical organization. The attacker was shot by the police, and he is reported to be in serious condition at a hospital.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that Israel’s attacks on Gaza have killed 62,895 people and injured 158,927 since October 7, 2023. In the last 24 hours alone, 76 people were killed and 298 injured.
At aid distribution points, deaths have risen to 2,158, with nearly 16,000 wounded. The ministry also said 10 more civilians, including two children, died of starvation, bringing Gaza’s hunger-related death toll to 313.
