Energy agreement between Albanian and Bulgarian companies in Tirana

A Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) was signed yesterday between Albgaz and Overgas in the Albanian capital, Tirana, for the expansion of gas resources in the country and the Balkan region. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Albanian Minister of Energy Belinda Balluku, as well as Albgaz Manager Arber Avrami, Linden Energy, and Over Gas manager Svetoslav Ivanov.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama met with former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo after the signing ceremony. Following the meeting, Prime Minister Rama and former US Secretary of State Pompeo attended a conference called ‘Together -Krah per Krah’ (Together – Hand in Hand) organized by the Albanian Parliament to mark the 100th anniversary of the two countries’ relations.

Turkish FM Fidan Honors Fallen Ukrainian Soldiers in Kyiv Visit

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan laid flowers at the Memorial Wall in Kyiv, dedicated to Ukrainian soldiers killed in the ongoing war with Russia.

Fidan arrived in the Ukrainian capital on an official visit and was received by Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha at Freedom Square. His first stop was the Memorial Wall, where he paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the conflict.

As part of his visit, Fidan is scheduled to hold a joint press conference with Sybiha and meet with key Ukrainian officials, including President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. He is also expected to hold talks with the Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, who previously led Ukraine’s delegation in peace talks with Russia held in Istanbul.

Fidan will also meet with representatives of the Crimean Tatar and Gagauz Turkish communities in Ukraine.
