An environmental group called Extinction Rebellion carried out a protest in front of the Bayer pharmaceutical company in Berlin, the capital of Germany, in order to prevent the extinction of living species. The protesters argued that agricultural areas with excessive pesticide use are primarily responsible for the mass extermination of insect species that indirectly threaten human life as well. During the march after the rally in front of the pharmaceutical company, the activists carried banners that read, “Life becomes more difficult if species disappear” and “Stop animal husbandry and industrial fishing immediately”.
