President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) for the Peace and Freedom Day and to inaugurate the New Ercan Airport. Arriving from his Gulf tour, he was welcomed in an official ceremony by TRNC President Ersin Tatar. Erdoğan, the first leader to land at the new airport, is also set to attend a bilateral meeting with President Tatar, lay a wreath at the Atatürk Monument, and join the Peace and Freedom Day ceremonies. His delegation includes top officials from the Turkish government and the People’s Alliance.

French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in the UK with First Lady Brigitte Macron for a three-day official visit at the invitation of King Charles III.
Welcomed by Prince William and Princess Kate at RAF Northolt, the Macrons traveled to Windsor, where they were received with full honors. A horse-drawn parade and a military band performance of the French national anthem marked the reception.
Macron later met King Charles and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle, where a luncheon and a private viewing of French-related royal artifacts were scheduled. This marks Macron’s first official UK visit since taking office in 2017.
