Rain and fog were observed in the city center of Erzincan in Turkey, where the air temperature dropped significantly, and snowfall was seen in the higher elevations. In the Sakaltutan and Kızıldağ Passes on the Erzincan-Sivas highway, snowfall covered the land with a white blanket, while black ice occurred in some parts of the road. Heavy tonnage vehicles continued on their way by taking precautions. Road teams continue their snow removal and salting works intermittently in order to avoid any disruption in transportation.
According to the forecast, the weather will be partly and very cloudy, with intermittent snowfall throughout the Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey. At night and in the morning, icing and frost will be seen in places.
