Miguel Uribe, a 39-year-old Colombian senator and former presidential candidate, has died after being shot in a rally in Bogotá on July 7. The assassination attempt, carried out by a 15-year-old gunman, left Uribe critically injured with two gunshot wounds to the head and one to the leg. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries, Uribe succumbed to complications. His wife, Mara Claudia Tarazona, confirmed his death and thanked him for being a loving father.
