One of the most important topic on the second day of European Union Leaders’ Summit was relations with Turkey. President of the European Commision Ursula von der Leyen announced at the press conference after the summit that the EU will allocate an additional 3 billion euros for Syrian refugees in Turkey until 2024. She added that the EU will support Turkey’s management of migration on its eastern borders.

Russia and Ukraine exchanged 84 prisoners each, with the UAE mediating. Russia said its soldiers are in Belarus for medical and psychological care, while Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy confirmed that many returnees need treatment, including Mariupol defenders and civilians held since as early as 2014.
