EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas criticized Russia’s ceasefire conditions for Ukraine, stating they reveal Moscow’s unwillingness to end the conflict. Speaking ahead of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels, Kallas said the proposed terms align with Russia’s wartime objectives rather than genuine peace efforts.
She also addressed Middle East tensions, expressing EU support for the Arab plan to rebuild Gaza. On Syria, Kallas highlighted the urgency of regional cooperation to stabilize the country and acknowledged discussions on lifting sanctions to restore essential services.
