On Friday, a forest fire called the “Colorado Fire” broke out in Palo Colorado area in Monterey County of California, US, at around 7:30 PM local time. Evacuation orders were issued for the Big Sur area as the flames rapidly spread over 101 hectares of land. The American Red Cross (ARC) announced that those affected by the wildfire were offered shelter at Carmel Middle School. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) stated that pet supplies will be provided at the same school. Also, the California Highway Patrol has closed the Highway 1 located between Andrew Molera State Park and Carmel-By-The-Sea in both directions. Meanwhile, the firefighting in the area still continues.
