Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made statements on social media after US President Donald Trump targeted him with the words “a dictator who did not go to the polls.”

In his speech, the Ukrainian leader stated that everyone in the world, including the “most powerful,” must make a choice between Russian President Volodymyr Putin and peace, and said, “Peace can be more reliable with the US and Europe, and this is our goal. But the most important thing is that this is not only our goal but a goal that we share with our partners.”

Emphasizing that they wanted to end the war from the beginning, Zelenskyy said, “I am sure that we will end the war with a lasting peace. And thus Russia will not be able to occupy Ukraine again. Thus, Ukrainians under Russian captivity will return to their homeland, and thus Ukraine will have a future. This is the normal desire of every nation.”
