The second-most populated state of the US, Texas, will celebrate the Lunar New Year in many public places in various big cities and smaller regions for two weeks.
An entertainment and cultural hub in Houston hosted an uplifting festival for the occasion on Sunday that included stunning shows, a carnival-like Asian market featuring foods, games, crafts and other cultural activities, as well as a big party. Lion and dragon dances drew the greatest attention of roughly a thousand spectators with their rhythmic beating of drums and gongs.
