An explosion rocked a chicken restaurant in Sanhe, China’s Hebei province, at 07:54 local time. The blast, suspected to be caused by a gas leak, led to extensive damage to the building and surrounding areas. Emergency responders swiftly mobilized, with 154 firefighters and 36 fire trucks rushing to the scene. Tragically, 2 people lost their lives, while 26 others sustained injuries. Firefighters managed to bring the subsequent fire under control as investigations into the incident continue.
