Two killed and four injured as a result of the explosion in the natural gas depot of a company called Butane in the city of Ahvaz in Iran’s Khuzestan province. Amir Abbas Najafi, Deputy Head of the Red Crescent Organization of Khuzestan province, said that the wounded had burns on their bodies and were taken to a hospital.
Najafi also said that the cause of the fire is not yet known but further information will be shared after ongoing investigations.
Egyptian media reports that ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel in Gaza, mediated by Qatar and Egypt, are set to resume next week. Israel is awaiting Hamas’s response to the ceasefire offer.
Israeli and US delegations, who were in Doha for negotiations, have returned home for consultations. The current agreement being discussed includes the exchange of hostages and prisoners, with plans for further talks on a permanent ceasefire and the release of additional hostages.
