An explosion occurred in the ammunition depot of the National Liberation Front within the body of the Syrian National Army (SNA) in the Bab al-Hawa Border Crossing area that located near the Syrian city of Idlib. While there is panic in the area where many refugee camps are located, it is unknown whether there are any casualties or injuries in the explosion.
Russia bombed a prison in Ukraine’s Zaporizhia region, killing 17 inmates and injuring 42, according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Justice. The airstrike hit Bilenke Prison with four bombs, causing heavy damage. Ukrainian officials condemned the attack as a violation of international law and labeled it a war crime.
Zaporizhia is among the regions Russia claims to have annexed in 2022, though it remains mostly under Ukrainian control.
