A generator exploded in a street in the Zuqaq al-Blat district of Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, leading to a fire. The flames spread to six vehicles, three apartments, and a businessplace. The explosion and fire caused chaos in the area but no casualties were reported. Security forces launched an investigation into the cause of the explosion.
Members of Italy’s opposition Five-Star Movement (M5S) wore black, white, and green T-shirts, representing the Palestinian flag, during a parliamentary session to protest the government’s stance on Gaza. Riccardo Ricciardi criticized Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s government for not recognizing the State of Palestine, despite widespread global recognition. Ricciardi accused the government of complicity in the ongoing conflict, calling it a “genocide” and condemning their support for what he described as “the greatest massacre of this century.”
