An F16 fighter jet from Poland’s Air Force demonstration team crashed during rehearsals for the Radom International Air Show, killing the pilot. The aircraft burst into flames on impact at Radom Airport, leaving the runway unusable.
Government spokesman Adam Szlapka confirmed the death and said Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz was heading to the site. The weekend air show was canceled, and the cause of the crash is under investigation. Polish media recalled that two pilots were killed in a 2007 Radom Air Show accident.
