Ersyon Öntürk, a farmer living in the Tuşba District of Türkiye’s Van Province, woke up to find that his 130 sheep had suddenly perished. Noticing that most of his sheep were lying on the ground and some were about to die in the barn next to his house, the farmer immediately notified the security forces and his neighbors. The incident, the cause of which is still unknown, is being investigated by teams.

“When I came to the sheepfold around 21:00 and checked, there was no problem. But when I came back at around 05:30 in the morning to graze them, 130 of the 157 sheep were dead. They were my source of income,” said Ersoy Öntürk.
