A female drone operator is playing a leading role in Türkiye’s first unmanned combat aircraft program, Bayraktar KIZILELMA. Elif Ergin, the KIZILELMA drone operator team leader at Baykar, also trains operators for the AKINCI and KIZILELMA platforms. “I fly Bayraktar TB2, AKINCI and KIZILELMA. We can say that KIZILELMA is the game-changer of tomorrow,” Ergin said, describing her role as a great source of pride for Türkiye. She encouraged young women to pursue careers in aviation and technology, saying, “Our young female colleagues should not give up on taking their dreams beyond the horizon.”
