The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that the final phase of the three-phase polio vaccination campaign, which was planned to begin today in the northern Gaza Strip, has been postponed.

The organization said the reasons for the postponement were intense bombardment, mass evacuation orders, and the halt of humanitarian aid in a large part of northern Gaza.

At least 18 people were injured when two passenger trains collided on a suburban line between Slovakia’s capital, Bratislava, and the nearby town of Pezinok. The injured were taken to four hospitals under Bratislava University Hospital.

Authorities said the cause of the crash remains under investigation, and Slovak Railways has launched an inquiry. The incident follows another train accident in eastern Slovakia last month that injured 20 people.
