A massive fire broke out at an oil refinery in Erbil, within the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (KRG). The blaze erupted in the evening, affecting the refinery, fuel distribution facility, and bitumen warehouse on the Erbil-Guyer road. Firefighters managed to contain the fire, preventing it from reaching fuel tanks. There were no casualties reported, as drivers fled the scene for safety. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire, though no official statement has been made by the Erbil Civil Defense Directorate.
