Footage in social media showed that a fire broke out at the notorious Evin Prison in Tehran, which is mostly crowded with political prisoners, after the rumors that gunshots and sirens were heard at the area. The footage also showed that the residents around the prisoner shouted slogans such as “Death to dictator” after the incident.

The semi-official Fars News Agency reported that, according to local residents, 4 separate explosions were heard from the prison area.

In another news, which was based on an anonymous security official, it was stated that a conflict occurred between the guards and the prisoners in the ward where the criminals settled, and then the prisoners who rioted set the laundry on fire.

It was reported that the fire and conflict in the prison were brought under control and the prisoners were sent to their wards.
