A fire broke out in a factory in Kocaeli’s Kartepe district in Turkey. The flames grew in a short time, and many firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Thick smoke covered part of sky over the area. Firefighters continue extinguishing efforts.
A fire that began on agricultural land in the Lapseki district of Çanakkale, Türkiye, has spread to nearby forestland. The fire, which started in Gökköy village around 3:30 PM, was fueled by strong winds. Firefighting teams from the Regional Directorate of Forestry are responding to the blaze both from the ground and the air.
