A fire broke out at the MKE Rocket and Explosive Materials Factory in the Elmadağ district of Ankara, Türkiyein the morning hours. It was stated that there were people who lost their lives in the explosion that took place in the production section of the factory. The flames were largely taken under control.

Following a heat wave in Istanbul, recent rainfall has failed to replenish the city’s dams, with the overall occupancy rate now at 49.96%. The Alibey Dam, currently at 33.32%, showed severe drought conditions, with aerial footage revealing the emerging Güzelce Aqueduct as the water level receded. While Elmalı Dam remains the fullest at 67.42%, Istrancalar Dam is critically low at 27.44%.
