A fire broke out at the MKE Rocket and Explosive Materials Factory in the Elmadağ district of Ankara, Türkiyein the morning hours. It was stated that there were people who lost their lives in the explosion that took place in the production section of the factory. The flames were largely taken under control.

The Turkish Naval Forces Command has launched the large-scale DENİZKURDU-II/2025 military exercise across all Turkish seas, running from May 6 to 17.
The drill involves 120 ships, 85 aircraft, and units from various institutions, including the Land Forces, Air Forces, Coast Guard, Gendarmerie, and ministries. It aims to test command effectiveness, readiness in multi-threat scenarios, and inter-agency coordination.
Key activities include live ammunition drills, operational training, and port visits. The Distinguished Observer Day will take place in Antalya on May 15, with 29 military attachés from 28 countries attending.
