Two elderly people were injured after a fire broke out in a region with restaurants in Japan’s Hiroshima province. The fire was brought under control with the help of 22 fire trucks that were sent to the scene shortly after the incident. Streets in the area were closed to traffic. Thirty buildings, most of them restaurants, have become unusable, authorities said. A detailed investigation was launched to find the cause of the fire.
Members of Italy’s opposition Five-Star Movement (M5S) wore black, white, and green T-shirts, representing the Palestinian flag, during a parliamentary session to protest the government’s stance on Gaza. Riccardo Ricciardi criticized Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s government for not recognizing the State of Palestine, despite widespread global recognition. Ricciardi accused the government of complicity in the ongoing conflict, calling it a “genocide” and condemning their support for what he described as “the greatest massacre of this century.”
