A fire broke out in the engine compartment of a metrobus between Halıcıoğlu and Okmeydanı stops in Istanbul at around 09:00 local time. Passengers on the metrobus were immediately evacuated and fire crews were dispatched to the scene. No one was killed or injured in the incident.

Uslu, who often shares his encounters on social media, described how they maintained a respectful distance, filming from 50 meters away. The whale, possibly separated from its herd, dived into the deep blue, showing its tail. Uslu noted that the whale species feeds on plankton and was not harmful.
