A fire broke out in the Azcapotzalco Municipality’s San Antonio industrial zone in Mexico City, Mexico. The fire, which erupted in the cardboard warehouse, quickly spread to other nearby workplaces. After about 3 hours of effort, in which at least 30 fire trucks participated, the fire was extinguished. The incident resulted in no casualties.
According to a statement issued by the Mexico City Fire Department, the flames affecting an area of 5,000 square meters caused 80% damage at seven workplaces in the San Antonio industrial zone. While the cause of the fire is unclear, it is claimed that the abundance of materials in the impacted workplaces, such as cardboard, plastic, and rubber, enabled the spread of the flames.
