A fire erupted in a water park being constructed within an amusement park in Gothenburg, Sweden, the cause of which remains unknown. Although no visitors were present at the time, the fire quickly consumed the building, generating repeated explosions and a thick black smoke column visible from kilometers away. Evacuations were carried out in nearby hotels and offices due to the flames’ rapid spread. Despite the significant material in the construction contributing to unhealthy smoke, no injuries were reported. The Oceana water park, situated in the renowned Liseberg amusement park, was set to open in spring and has a capacity for 1,750 people. Public health warnings were issued, advising people to stay indoors and close all windows and doors.
