A fire broke out at around 02:20 local time in a 35-storey building near the world’s tallest skyscraper Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was reported that the fire, which was extinguished after about an hour of work, did not injure anyone. Residents of the building were evacuated to the nearby Rove Hotel.

No official statement was made regarding the cause of the fire.

In April, a huge fire broke out at Swissotel Al Murooj Hotel, and no one was injured in the accident.

Türkiye Secures 8.7 bcm Gas Deals with BP, ENI and Shell

Türkiye’s state energy company BOTAŞ signed major LNG agreements worth 8.7 billion cubic meters with global giants BP, ENI, and Shell during the Gastech 2025 summit in Milan.

The deals cover 2026–2028, with BP supplying 4.8 bcm, ENI 1.5 bcm, and Shell 2.4 bcm. Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said the agreements will boost supply security, diversify resources, and add flexibility during winter demand.

BOTAŞ also signed cooperation agreements with Oman LNG and PetroChina, furthering Türkiye’s ambition to become a regional gas hub.
