A fire broke out on the roof of a 6-storey office building in the Başakşehir-İkitelli Industrial Zone in Istanbul, Türkiye, where plastic injection and cardboard materials are stored. Eight trapped foreigners were rescued and taken to a hospital. While the fire, which also spread to the lower floors, continues, some parts of the building are collapsing.

In the Adilcevaz district of Bitlis province in eastern Türkiye, red poppies have started to bloom with the arrival of warmer weather and recent heavy rainfall.
The natural red flowers, which grow wild across the region, have turned large fields into a colorful landscape. Locals and visitors often stop to take photos of the scene, which has become a favorite among nature and photography lovers.
Orhan Emen, a local resident, said, “The poppies that bloom every year have returned. Due to the heavy rains, many fields have turned completely red. It’s a beautiful sight.”
