Aspire, the European Union (EU) military operation in the Red Sea, announced yesterday that the fire that broke out on the Greek-flagged oil tanker Sounion, which was attacked by Houthis in the Red Sea on August 23, still continued after 5 days. The organization also said that all vessels passing nearby should proceed with utmost caution due to oil leakage.
Sounion is the third ship operated by Greece-based Delta Tankers to come under Houthi attack this month.
