People took to the streets after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the decree that Russia recognizes the Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic in the Donbass region in eastern Ukraine. A great number of people in Donbas carried out celebration with holding Russian flags and set off fireworks.

A Ukrainian drone attack on Gorodskoy Beach in Russia’s Kursk region killed three people, including a soldier, and injured seven, among them a child.
Acting Governor Alexander Khinshtein said the soldier was helping evacuate civilians after the first UAV strike when a second blast killed him.
The attack targeted a family-filled area, with five of the injured reported in critical condition.
Russia’s Defense Ministry stated that 86 Ukrainian drones were intercepted overnight across nine regions, including 23 in Kursk.
