With Covid-19 measures eased up in Saudi Arabia, first Iftar held after 2 years in the Grand Mosque (Masjid al-Haram) in Mecca and the Prophet’s Mosque (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi) in Medina on Saturday. Thousands of Muslims came together to break their fast at the Iftar tables in the Grand Mosque, where the Kaaba also located inside. The Saudi Arabia General Presidency of Haramain announced that 20 metric tons of dates were distributed during the first Iftar of Ramadan held in Grand Mosque.
