Flash floods caused by three days of heavy rain struck several Malaysian states, leaving at least 3 killed and thousands residents to be evacuated. Search and rescue operations are ongoing for those who trapped in their vehicles and homes. Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Yakub stated that the precipitation intensity was greater than expected, and that the total amount of precipitation expected in a month fell on Saturday. Yakub also promised to help out the flood victims.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that Israel’s attacks on Gaza have killed 62,895 people and injured 158,927 since October 7, 2023. In the last 24 hours alone, 76 people were killed and 298 injured.
At aid distribution points, deaths have risen to 2,158, with nearly 16,000 wounded. The ministry also said 10 more civilians, including two children, died of starvation, bringing Gaza’s hunger-related death toll to 313.
